In every company, and especially when working in hyperbaric conditions, it is necessary to have sufficient and regularly trained first aiders and first aid materials available. The number of first aiders when working in hyperbaric conditions is regulated in Germany by the Compressed Air Regulation.

The German Compressed Air Regulation for work in hyperbaric conditions, the Occupational Health and Safety Act §10, the Accident Prevention Regulations DGUV Regulation 1 §22, and the ASR A2.2 Section 6.2 result in some obligations in the area of fire protection.
