The Tatum TKS Diver Control System is a cable-based communication and monitoring unit between a signalman/woman and a diver. In addition to a voice and video link, the signalman (woman) is also optionally informed of the diver’s depth and the supply pressure of the autonomous lightweight diving apparatus. The land station is the central control unit. It houses the power supply and the modules of power distribution and voltage transformer, communication, depth and reservoir pressure indicators, and optionally video and recording technology. The communication module has two signal directions with separate inputs, signal transmitters, signal lines, and outputs available. The amplifier modules as well as the signal lines are shielded, the mass is the negative pole. The inputs are coded for dynamic microphones. The outputs have an impedance of 4 to 16 ohms.
